360cycling Junior men's and women's National Road Race Champs 2023

The National Junior's Road Race cycle race for Junior Men and Junior Women will be held on the Bashall circuit on the 2nd of July 2023

The annual Junior national championships is being help in Clitheroe Lancashire this year and 360cycling are excited to be organizing the event. The course is a lumpy technical course of 10.7 miles with 7 laps for men and 5 for women. Fully chip timed with a top quality national champion jersey being presented to the winner.

Both men and women will hear the bell and commence their final lap. Any rider 5 minutes or more off the back will be given a black flag when they go through the lap line but still placed overall. Those riders not 5 minutes off the back will continue round the course until they reach the bottom of Birdy Brow. The race then takes a right hand turn up Birdy Brow to the finish line.

The 77.5 mile route includes a 1.6-2 mile roll out behind the lead car.
7 laps of a 10.7mile loop on a rolling route that is seldom flat. On the 7th lap the race takes a sharp right turn onto Birdy Brow for the last approximately 1.5 miles. Birdy Brow is a climb that averages 8.6%, the steepest section on the first half is 0.43 mile @ 13.4%
The finish is on a 0.2-0.3mile false flat section over the top of the main climb. The road is very grippy on the full route and a course recon would be a major benefit.
